12 days



Day 1 : YOUR REGION – PARIS
Arrival at PARIS airport and pick-up by our driver and guide. Coach transfer to the hotel, occupation of the rooms, dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2 : PARIS
Breakfast. Guided tour of PARIS, city of history, and its magnificent monuments: the Champs-Elysées, Arc de Triomphe, Grands Boulevards, Opéra, Concorde, Eiffel Tower, Louvre museum, hôtel de ville, Notre-Dame cathedral…Lunch. Embarkment for a cruise with commentary on a Bateau-Mouche (river boat) down the Seine to see PARIS’ most famous bridges: Pont Alexandre III, Pont de la Concorde, Pont Neuf…, and also the Grand Palais, Petit Palais, Orangerie, Orsay museum, the Louvre, Notre-Dame…The visit of Paris continues by coach: Montmartre, one of the most characteristic parts of the capital, and the Sacré-Coeur basilica. Free time, dinner and overnight accommodation.

 

OPTION :  Dinner show with ½ bottle of Champagne at the “Moulin Rouge” cabaret.

 


Day 3 : PARIS – BRUGGE
Breakfast. Departure for LOUVRES, ARRAS, LILLE, arrival in Belgium, BRUGGE called "La Venise du Nord", lunch. Guided walking tour of BRUGGE, the most enchanting of the Belgian cities, which was before a flourishing harbor: the Grand Place dominated by a huge belfry, the place du Bourg with the Saint-Sang basilica and the city hall, the Beguinage on the bank of Lac d’Amour, the quaint houses featuring decorated facades… Cruise on the canals which criss-cross the city. Occupation of the rooms at the hotel, dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 4 : BRUGGE – AMSTERDAM
 Breakfast. Departure for ANVERS, the second city of Belgium, arrival in the Netherlands, BREDA, DORDRECHT. We make a stop at KINDERDIJK’s Windmills: these 19 windmills, included in the Unesco list of World Heritage Sites and standing on the bank of the canals among the reeds and the meadows, were used up to 1950 for the draining of Ablasserwaard, today converted into a polder. Continuation to ROTTERDAM by motorway, one of the biggest ports in the world, AMSTERDAM, the country’s capital and lunch. Guided tour of the historical center of AMSTERDAM, economic capital of the Netherlands built on 100 islands of quicksand linked to 400 bridges: the historical center with the Dam, one of the most central locations in the city, the canals lined with gorgeous and tall brick houses, the street Kalverstraat, very busy, the Beguinage… At the end of the afternoon, cruise on the canals: maybe the best way to discover the architectural varieties of Amsterdam. Indonesian dinner in a floating restaurant, occupation of the rooms at the hotel and overnight accommodation.

Day 5 : AMSTERDAM – HAMBURG
Breakfast. Departure for HAMBOURG, the second German city after Berlin, stop for lunch on the way. Guided tour of HAMBOURG, ancient Hanseatic city: the old city with its traders’ houses from the 17th and 18th centuries which nowadays are converted into numerous taverns, the Speicherstadt warehouses in dark bricks, Jungfernstieg, the main road of the city, Rathausmarkt, dominated by the city hall built in 1897 perched on 4.000 stilts… Occupation of the rooms at the hotel, dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 6 : HAMBURG – BERLIN
Breakfast. Departure for BERLIN, city of history, lunch. Guided tour of the German capital: the Western part of Berlin with the Kurfürstendamm, the prestigious avenue from where the life in Berlin gets organized, the Memory church, the spaces in flower of Charlottenburg and of the Tiergarten, the Reichstag… Then discovery of the Eastern part of Berlin: the famous Gate of Brandebourg, the real emblem of the city which was part of the Berlin Wall, the Avenue Unter den Linden, the Island of museums, the district Saint-Nicolas and Alexanderplatz dominated by the television tower, whose height is 368-metre. Occupation of the rooms at the hotel, dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 7 : BERLIN – PRAGUE
Breakfast. Departure for DRESDE called “Florence of the Elba” and discovery of the town. We carry on to PRAGUE, capital of Czech Republic, lunch. Guided tour of PRAGUE, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe called “the golden city” with its numerous gothic monuments: the modern city with Wenceslas square, the monument of the victory Vikkov, the bridge Gotwald, the Tower Powder, the ancient gothic and renaissance city with Charles Bridge decorated with 30 baroque statues, the city hall and its famous astronomical clock. Free time, occupation of the rooms at the hotel, dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 8 : PRAGUE – VIENNA
Breakfast. Departure for VIENNA, the Austrian capital, lunch. Excursion to the castle of Schönbrunn, summer residence of Sissi and François-Joseph: guided tour of the Imperial Apartments and visit of the museum of Carriages. Then, guided tour of VIENNA, which influenced the fate of Europe for a long time, keeps important monuments such as Saint-Etienne cathedral and the crypt in the Capucine Church, Saint-Charles church, the Belvedere castle, the city hall, the Parliament and the Opera destroyed during the war. Dinner in a typical restaurant in GRINZING, an ancient village of winegrowers: white wine and violin music on the program. We finish the day at Kahlenberg, offering a view over the entire city of VIENNA and the Danube plain up to the Hungarian border. Occupation of the rooms at the hotel, dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 9 : VIENNA – LJUBLJANA – VENICE
Breakfast. Departure for Slovenia, stop for the lunch on the way, and LJUBLJANA, capital of this small country, situated on the banks of the river Ljubljanica. Panoramic tour of the city: the bridges, the national and university library, the Gruber castle… Continuation to VENICE, a holiday place renowned worldwide, a unique town identified both by its location and by its fantastic buildings. Arrival in Saint Mark square by the motorized waterbuses ("vaporetti") by taking the Grand Canal. Dinner in VENICE, transfer to the hotel situated in the heart of the Doges, occupation of the rooms and overnight accommodation.


Day 10 : VENICE – FLORENCE
Breakfast. In the morning, guided discovery of the aquatic and magical worlds of VENICE, link between the East and the West: Saint Mark square, San Marco basilica, the Campanile, Doges Palace (visit), Rialto bridge, lunch. Departure for FLORENCE, the famous capital of Arts, unforgettable city where Italian Renaissance is lavishly represented. Free time for an individual visit and shopping. Occupation of the rooms at the hotel, dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 11 : FLORENCE – ROMA
Breakfast. Departure for ROMA, “the Eternal City”, lunch and afternoon dedicated to the guided tour of the Italian capital with its remains (the Forum, the Trajanne column, the Colisee…), its medieval edifices, its renaissance palaces and its baroque churches which still show today the magnitude and the splendor of this mythical city. Occupation of the rooms at the hotel, dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 12 : ROMA – YOUR REGION
Breakfast then coach transfer to ROMA airport. End of our services.
